Essay writing topic is one of the most commonly known elements in a student’s life. Usually, students keep thinking about how to write it and what to keep in mind as its basic points while writing their essay. So, let us face it that perhaps very few of us want to write a passage made up of five lengthy paragraphs, and it is even more difficult to do when we have fewer words, limited thought process, and even lesser time-limit.
Structure Your Essay Perfectly to Make It in a Perfect Flow
After you have the topic and have taken time to understand it, you can plan to write an essay with the gathered information. While doing the same, you need to keep in mind the desirable word limit.
Now, it is the time to structure your essay that should be in a flowing manner – each word forming a logical sentence after sentence that is related to each other and in perfect order. An essay is structured in four points: an introduction, the main body containing the development of issues, conclusions, and references of the sources from where you have collected the data, phrases, and quotes.
Introduction Contains the Basic Points of an Essay
In this portion, you introduce the subject and your understanding of it. Here, you also mention your views on the subject and how interesting it seems to you. It is often necessary to keep the introduction short to simply make the topic familiar to the reader. It is done to give an understanding of the matter on which, the further paragraphs will be based upon.
Generally, the introduction is written in the beginning, but you can also choose to write after the body of the essay. It is completely up to your comfort, but you should be sure that your readers would appreciate this format.
The Main Body of the Essay Constitutes Facts and Figures
Some students prefer simple language with some phrases in it to build the body of an essay. Others use famous quotes given by well-known authors to support their content. Few use questionnaires to throw light on facts that would strengthen their statement. Overall, there are various methods to construct a strong body for your essay according to the intensity of the topic.
If you want the effect of the evidence on some facts you have mentioned, then support it with one or a maximum of two examples. Quotations should never be used to replace the content that represents your own language. When you want to quote, make sure that you explain it in your words. Doing this will add significance to your argument. When you are citing something from another author’s book or piece, make sure that you mention the correct reference that includes the book’s name, the author’s name, and the date of the respective book’s publication. The reference is mentioned mostly at the end of the essay after the conclusion.
Conclusion Constitutes the Summarization of Your Essay
The purpose of any conclusion, be it of essay or passage, is to sum up all your main bullets from the facts or arguments you have mentioned in your content. You should try to indicate what has been learned and what has been accomplished. You can leave open questions for the readers as well.
You should avoid summarizing the complete argument in your introduction and conclusion, or you will end up in the danger of doing the essay writing on the same topic again.
